The most famous news around La Liga is the transfer ban implicated on Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid by FIFA. The teams are banned due to the violation of the rules regarding the protection and signing of underage foreign players. Both the teams cannot sign any new players until 2018. However they can make deals for signing, but none of them can play or get registered until the time period for the ban ends. Barcelona suffered from the same kind of ban in 2015; however they still managed to win the Spanish Cup, Champions league and Copa del Rey.

Both the clubs will have to submit appeals to the Court of Arbitration in Sports (CAS), in order to undermine it. The appeals to FIFA were disapproved. The ban has proved more harmful for Zidane than Real Madrid, whose two under 18 sons are in Real Madrid’s youth team. Both of them will be unable to play because of it. However, Real Madrid won’t even feel the effects of the ban, as there squad is very strong at the moment.
